FreeFlight / Description
FreeFlight sees you take to the skies in one of four different aircraft, cruising around above a realistic landscape. The controls in the game are very easy to master, and you should be able to pick it up and play straight away. However, if you do want a bit of practice first, there's a helpful 'Flight Lessons' section, which will guide you through the basics.
The 3D graphics in FreeFlight aren't bad for a Java-based game. Not only are the landscapes fairly realistic but the planes themselves are quite true to life (incidentally, the aircraft included are the Cessna C172, the Pitts S2 Special, the P-51 Mustang, and the F-16 Falcon). The animation isn't too bad if you've got a phone with a decent processor, but you may experience a lot of lag if you're using an older device.
FreeFlight is fun to play for a while but ultimately, the game gets a bit boring. There are no levels or challenges to speak of, so it's just a case of taking off, flying around for a while then attempting to make a safe landing (not easy, by the way!)
It's not the most spectacular flight sim you'll ever play, but FreeFlight is a gentle timewaster nonetheless.
